Tom Valerio
Video Editor/ Producer/Media Manager
About Me

My name is Tom Valerio and I am a very versatile video editor/producer, media manager, and the ultimate team player. I am currently a Video Editor at Cheddar News, with previous stops at The Dr. Oz Show, The Good Dish, Disney Streaming Services/BAMTech, and MLB Advanced Media.
When a brief stint as an offensive lineman for the football team didn't pan out, I began shooting their games that would be later used by the team to review their games. I also shot many of the other sports games around the campus as well as other personal videos for class and for myself. That lead me to study Film, Video and Interactive Media at Quinnipiac University where I graduated in 2014. As a student at Quinnipiac, I participated in several of the student media organizations offered on campus. I was a prominent member of the student television station, Q30, where I was a host for The Morning After and served as the "sidekick" for the CMA's Pinnacle Award nominated late night show, Late Night with Kevin Carrol. I wrote and researched much of my own material for these shows. I was also a staff writer for the school run parody newspaper, The Quinnipiac Barnacle and a co-host of "The Wake Up Call" on WQAQ. In my free time, I enjoy watching television and movies, spending time with my family and friends, playing with my dog and cats, going out to concerts or just a night out in general, video games, and exploring NYC.
Please take the time to review my resume and samples of my work from NHL.com and Cheddar located in the "Portfolio" section. I also have my Demo Reel available on the site as well. Thank you for taking the time to read my 'About Me.' I hope to hear from many of you in the future.
